Following a visit according to a delegation from the UK pigmeat industry to Japan in February this year, the Japanese authorities have now granted the UK a licence to export pigmeat to Japan, British Pig Executive (BPEX) chief executive Mick Sloyan said.

Speaking at the Anuga meat exhibition in Cologne, Germany, Sloyan said he leaped that companies would be trading with Japan according to the end of the month
